Programs

Six programs, one standard.

The FAA sequence runs Private, then Instrument, then Commercial, then CFI.

01 Private Pilot CertificateMost students start here Where most students begin, flown in the Cirrus from the first lesson: the certificate that lets you fly your family, your friends and your business anywhere you can see the way.

Trained under Part 61, so the plan is shaped around your schedule and the experience you bring.

Accelerated programs are available if you want to finish faster, and the airplanes fly from 6am to 10pm, seven days a week.

Your checkride is with our in-house examiner. Start with a Discovery Flight.

02 Instrument Rating (IFR)Fly on your schedule, not the weather’s The rating that makes the Cirrus useful on a schedule: flying in the clouds and through the weather, on the Garmin Perspective panel you will fly for years.

Trained in the Cirrus, behind the same glass panel and autopilot you will use as an owner.

Part 61, with accelerated programs available.

Checkride with our in-house examiner.

03 Commercial Pilot CertificateFly to a professional standard The next certificate after the instrument rating: the standard of flying it takes to be paid to fly, and a sharper pilot whether you do or not.

Part 61, built on the private certificate and instrument rating.

Accelerated programs are available.

Checkride with our in-house examiner.

04 Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)Teach others to fly Learn to teach flying from instructors who chose teaching for its own sake, not as a stop on the way to the airlines.

For commercial pilots who want to teach.

Part 61, with accelerated programs available.

Checkride with our in-house examiner.

How it works

Training built around you

3–4 months to your certificate, part-time, around a full calendar.

01

Brief

A real pre-flight brief: what you’ll fly today, and why.

02

Fly

Your time in the air over East Tennessee.

03

Debrief

What happened, what went well, and what the next lesson sets up.

Instructors who stay. Our instructors are here because they enjoy teaching, not to build time on their way to the airlines.
